Move Data does not function Teradata 12 - response (6) by fgrimmer

Brett, So to recap, you are on Windows 32-bit with JRE 1.6. You can bring up Teradata Studio and connect to your Teradata Database, but it hangs when you try the Move Space dialog. Can you browse the objects in the Data Source Explorer, open the Schema folder and its Tables and Views folder for the schema you want to add space to? Can you display those objects in the Teradata View? Can you run any of the other dialogs, like Create Table or Generate DDL on a table in the schema? I am just trying to get a sense of what is causing it to hang. The SQL that is executed for the Move Space is the same SQL we execute for the Data Source Explorer as you open objects.
