Dateform And Date Strings - topic by rajeev saravanan

Hi, I understand that the choice of DATEFORM for a session governs the way the dates are displayed in the output but not very clear on how it affects the importing of date strings ?   Also while importing is it necessary to provide the date string in the same  format as that in the table DDL ?   Thanks Rajeev
